Alan Goldsmith
Alan Goldsmith has been a leading player and chess teacher in South Australia for many years. He came equal 4th in the 1990 Australian Championship and has won the SA State Championship 3 times. He has been awarded many brilliancy prizes and plays wildly exciting attacking chess - imaginative and fun!
Sunday Mail & SA Junior Chess League
Alan has been writing a popular chess column for the Sunday Mail for over 19 years and is the current President of the SA Junior Chess League. He has been supervising the regular Inter-school Secondary Competitions on a Friday night for many years, as well running many other junior events.
He was also President of the SA Chess Association for over10 years and during that time was on the Organising Committee for many big International chess events in Adelaide such as the fabulous1988 World Junior Chess Championships and the Adsteam-Lidums Tournaments.
